I was born in the UK back in the 60s, and have had four novels published for teens. I’m now writing thrillers for adults.
My fiction writing career started almost by mistake – I decided to write a story for my then-12-year-old, and produced just two copies for her birthday. That became the first book in the award-winning Small Blue Thing trilogy, which has now been translated into multiple languages. Things have snowballed from there, and I’m now a full-time writer.
Much of my earlier career was spent in recruitment, interviewing executives and writing reports on their experience, and I’m now combining these two different worlds by ghost writing memoirs. I find this endlessly fascinating – I love talking to people about their lives, and my background in interviewing means I can put people at ease as I draw out their memories.
I live in West Sussex, in view of the sea, with my husband, a chocolate Labrador and occasionally our two adult children.
